The VII Bioinformatics Student Symposium will take place on 17 October 2019 in the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (Centro de Biotecnología y Genómica de Plantas, CBGP) building located at Campus de Montegancedo of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM).
The student symposium is meant to be a meeting point for all students and early-stage scientists working on the field of Bioinformatics in Spain. It will include research communications presented by participants, social activities and a unique career advise talk by a leading expert. The event seeks to strengthen the network of students on bioinformatics in Spain, as well as foster debate and collaborations among them.
The VII Bioinformatics Student Symposium is organized by the ISCB Regional Students Group-Spain (RSG-Spain), an association of junior scientists in Bioinformatics based in Spain and satellite group of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), the most significant scholar society in bioinformatics. The event is co-organized by the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute (INB), the technological platform for bioinformatics of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), and the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (Centro de Biotecnología y Genómica de Plantas, CBGP).
