Are you ready to embrace new and varied opportunities to develop and learn at AstraZeneca? Join us as a Data Science Training Advisor in our Biopharmaceuticals R&D team. In this role, you will provide specialist administrative support to the organisation of virtual instructor-led courses, and community events, offered by the R&D Data Science Skills & Partnerships (S&P) team. You will be responsible for all administrative aspects including course/event scheduling, registration, course/event set up, trainers and attendees management, course materials collation, feedback collection and reporting of training statistics through dedicated dashboards. 

 

Accountabilities: 

As the Data Science Training Advisor, your role will involve assisting in the organisation of virtual instructor led courses and community events. You will manage event scheduling, registration (via Cornerstone), set up (via MSTeams) and all related communications with attendees, trainers and speakers, pre- and post-event, maintaining relevant up-to-date email templates, policies and other information. You will also collect metrics, including post course surveys, and produce reports from Excel spreadsheets and dedicated PowerBI dashboards. Additionally, you will maintain the catalogue of S&P’s offering on SharePoint and maintain efficient administrative protocols while making suggestions for improvements. 

 

Essential Skills/Experience: 

  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency across a broad range of administrative processes, procedures, and systems. 
  • Ability to organise and manage events with minimal supervision 
  • Collaborative approach to tasks, and ability to work as part of a team  
  • Ability to autonomously anticipate issues and clashes through a proactive management calendar  
  • Some project management skills to effectively manage events/small projects 
  • Ability to manage time and multiple responsibilities efficiently and with minimal supervision  
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite 
  • Advanced level of English for communicating and coordinating on a daily basis. 

 

Desirable Skills/Experience: 

  • Working knowledge of PowerBI
