Post-doc opportunities at the new Computational Biology group

Description

As part of a new Computational Biology group, Vera Pancaldi is looking to recruit post-docs to start in September 2018 or soon after, with bioinformatic expertise especially in these areas:

  • Single-cell and population transcriptomic data analysis
  • Epigenomics and 3D genome organization
  • Networks, Boolean and agent-based models

Candidates will be encouraged to propose their own research lines in accordance to the aims established for the team. The CRCT is a joint research unit of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and the University Toulouse III Paul Sabatier. It opened in 2014 on the Oncopole site, which includes a large hospital, very closely connected to the institute, as well as various pharma companies. Projects will be carried out in collaboration with experimental and clinical groups at the Oncopole and with the Computational Biology group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where I will maintain a joint appointment.

Qualifications

Required: PhD in bioinformatics/genomics or quantitative subject Desirable: experience with single-cell data

Salary

Salary will be determined according to level of experience of the candidate according to INSERM standards.
