The Genomics of Gene Expression is a multidisciplinary group interested in the development of computational approaches to study functional aspects of gene expression and omics data. We work extensively in data integration from different types of NGS-based technologies and create algorithms and software for the scientific community. Some examples are Blast2GO, Paintomics, maSigPro, NOISeq, etc. (more information about our research lines at http://conesalab.org).
The group is led by Dr. Ana Conesa, from the Institute for Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio, CSIC), and Dr. Sonia Tarazona, from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), respectively.
Dr. Sonia Tarazona is seeking a talented and motivated post-doc researcher to work on a European project on ovarian cancer treatment, where RNA-seq and MS proteomics data will be analyzed and integrated to find biomarkers for treatment personalization. Candidates should have a PhD degree in Bioinformatics or Biostatistics with experience in the analysis of next-generation sequencing data. The start date will be around October 2023, and it is a 30-month position.
Are you interested?? Please, send your CV, together with a motivation letter or any question you may have, to Sonia Tarazona (sotacam@eio.upv.es) before June 11th, 2023.
