Postdoctoral position at the Genomics of Gene Expression - Conesa lab (Valencia, Spain) to work at the interface between multi-omics, long reads and single-cell sequencing.

The Genomics of Gene Expression Lab (GGE Lab) is an internationally recognized research group working on the creation of computational methods to study the dynamics and regulation of gene expression. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented postdoc to join our group and help to develop a new generation of bioinformatics solutions for integrating multi-omics data obtained with the newest genomics technologies.

The GGE Lab is an internationally recognized research group working on the creation of computational methods to study the dynamics and regulation of gene expression. We have developed over 20 software tools to analyze high-throughput genomics data that include a variety of approaches to design, store, analyze, integrate, and visualize multi-omics datasets. We have pioneered the creation of software tools for the analysis of single molecule, long reads sequencing applied to transcriptome research. In our current MO4D project (Spanish Science Ministry) we aim to leverage long reads and single-cell multi-omics methods to model and understand disease progression. These methodologies will be implemented into our Paintomics tool, a webserver for the interpretative analysis of multi-omics dataset.

The Conesa Lab is a multidisciplinary and multicultural team with a strong international orientation. We are distributed between the I2SysBio (Valencia), a mixed UV-CSIC institute with a focus on Systems Biology and Computational Modelling and the Polytechnical University of Valencia. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented postdoc to join our group and help to develop a new generation of bioinformatics solutions for integrating multi-omics data obtained with the newest genomics technologies.

Candidates must have a PhD in computational biology or related discipline, with knowledge in R, Phyton and Java Script. Experience in the analysis of NGS data, as well as wet-lab technologies is highly recommended. We strongly encourage female and minorities candidate to apply.
