The Spanish Government has approved more than 115 million for the Strategic Action in Health (AES) with the aim of hiring researchers and promoting health research projects. Within the recruitment actions, the program contains a specific budget for the second call to hire bioinformatics technicians to support research in the Health Research Institutes (IIS) certified by the Health Institute Carlos III (ISCIII). The AES2019 call will be open from February 19 until March 21, 2019, and announced in the ISCIII website.
The successful applicants will be contracted during two years by the hosting IIS to carry out scientific-technical activities aimed at optimizing available technological resources and benefiting from the close collaboration with the Spanish National Bioinformatics Institute (INB), which is the ISCIII bioinformatics platform, as well as offering bioinformatics services to research groups at the IIS.
The AES is the main public funding tool for R & D & I in the field of translational research in biomedicine and promoting its research activity. The aid is promoted and managed by the Health Institute Carlos III (ISCIII), under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The objective of the Strategic Action of Health is to contribute to promoting the health and well-being of citizens, as well as to develop the preventive, diagnostic, curative, rehabilitative and palliative aspects of the disease, reinforcing and increasing the international competitiveness of R & D + i of the National Health System (SNS).
